INTRODUCTION, SPECIALTY & PASSION
Dr Nkiru Oluwatosin (MBBS) is a medical doctor working with the National Health Service in England.She specialises in primary care and therefore is a professional in dealing with a broad range of physical, psychological and social problems. She is passionate about providing care which is wholesome and not solely medical hence her chosen field. Her deep concern for people motivates her to work harder.
She is interested in educating and enlightening people towards disease prevention and management of chronic illnesses. In Nigeria, she has been involved in medical outreaches to undeserved communities, providing basic health care education and free drugs to impoverished persons.
She is also passionate about sharing knowledge with other Nigerian medical colleagues on how to improve practice of medicine and increase capacity to give back to the nation, hence she is very vocal on media platforms hosting thousands of doctors.
EDUCATION
Dr Nkiru Oluwatosin graduated in 2011 from the Igbinedion University, Okada.She received a short training from the Department of Dermatology of Cornell University, at the New York Presbyterian Hospital New York in 2009.
WORK EXPERIENCE
She completed her internship at the Central Hospital Benin. She then worked briefly at the State Psychiatric hospital in Akure, Nigeria, after which she worked as a medical resident in the emergency department of the King Khalid General Hospital, Saudi Arabia. She then proceeded to work in the department of Medicine For the Elderly, Peterborough City Hospital, Peterborough, United Kingdom, from where she entered into the primary care specialty.
Dr Nkiru currently works with the National Health Service, Lincolnshire, England. She is happily married and has a son.
Her hobbies include, the art of makeup, dancing and traveling. She founded and runs a makeup school in Nigeria to continue to promote the art of makeup.
